  • Writing and editing for a range of international clients.

Content Manager – Eventbrite (August 2023 - December 2024)

Responsibilities: 

  • Wrote, edited and localised a mix of long- and short-form content, including web copy, case studies, ebooks, blog posts (product, SEO and thought leadership), email and social posts.

  • Managed B2B content across four key markets: North America, the UK, Ireland and Australia.

  • Directed GTM strategy to drive traffic, leads and conversions for key pieces of demand generation content. Worked cross-functionally to coordinate across channels, including performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, demand generation, SEO, social, sales and PR.

Achievements and Results: 

  • Reinvented the annual event trends report with a bold new editorial direction, design and name.

  • Elevated case studies to create data-driven success stories that showcase expert product use, but are deeply rooted in event storytelling.

  • Expanded freelance writer pool and developed talent.

  • Managed a robust gated content refresh project, improving site SEO ranking and driving MQLs.

  • Produced successful gated content campaigns and drove the highest MQL rate across B2B paid social activity in Q3 2024.

  • Contributed to increasing editorial newsletter OR and CTOR across markets by improving content strategy and A/B testing subject lines and CTAs.

Senior Editor, Commercial Partnerships – HuffPost UK (January 2021 - May 2023)

Responsibilities: 

  • Led all brand partnerships across HuffPost UK, including commissioning and editing freelancers, while collaborating with distribution teams to optimise campaign performance.

  • Built multi-channel campaign strategies spanning editorial, social and video content.

  • Led creative responses to briefs and pitching concepts to clients.

  • Shaped HuffPost UK’s commercial strategy across branded content and e-commerce in partnership with the Editor-In-Chief. 

  • Managed commercial opportunities calendar to align with business goals and market trends.

Achievements and Results: 

  • Played a key role in achieving the site’s first year of profitability.

  • Secured a partnership with Visit Britain, one of the largest deals in HuffPost UK’s history.

  • Led successful partnerships with a range of clients including Natwest, British Airways, Visit Britain, Square, American Express and Crowne Plaza.

  • Pitched, won and produced multiple Covid-friendly partnerships to support SMEs.

  • Managed complex, multi-channel campaigns for brands with a strategic approach.

Life Editor – HuffPost UK (November 2015 - January 2021)

Responsibilities: 

  • Commissioned and edited content across a range of topics, including women’s issues, health, mental health, parenting, work, relationships, style, food and travel.

  • Managed and mentored a large team of reporters, providing editorial guidance, career development and overseeing freelance budgets.

  • Leveraged data insights tools to drive audience growth, reach and engagement, working closely with audience teams to improve content and distribution strategies.

  • Led various content projects, including:

    • SEO-driven evergreen content, such as health explainers and travel reviews. 

    • Long-form, multi-platform editorial series covering women’s health, wellbeing, and parenting topics.

    • Hosting the ‘Am I Making You Uncomfortable?’ podcast on women’s health and wellbeing. Producing related articles, show notes, social posts and newsletters.

Achievements and Results:

  • Drove consistent growth in Lifestyle traffic, including: 

    • Exponentially increasing social and SEO traffic in my first years as editor.

    • Boosting newsletter subscribers by 275% in a single year.

    • Doubling podcast listens between series one and two. This was achieved by strategic content atomisation and multi-channel distribution across newsletters, video, social media, and articles.

    • Increasing editorial output by over 150% during my tenure.

E-Commerce Editor – HuffPost UK (October 2018 — May 2020)

Responsibilities: 

  • Launched HuffPost UK Finds, the site’s first e-commerce platform, covering fashion, beauty, home, wellbeing, and parenting.

  • Commissioned, edited and wrote news stories, features and product reviews. 

  • Developed a distinctive editorial tone and managed multiple unique regular series.

  • Monitored traffic, conversion rates and performance metrics to optimise content strategy.

  • Managed relationships with external affiliate partners, such as Amazon Affiliates and Skimlinks.

Achievements and Results: 

  • Drove month-on-month traffic growth through SEO and newsletters.

  • Increased revenue year-on-year, leveraging key retail moments such as Black Friday, Amazon Prime Day, and seasonal sales.

  • Built and managed a diverse team of writers, including staff and freelancers.

Content Editor – Marguerite (August 2017 - May 2021)

Marguerite was a club for women working in the arts and creative industries. It closed in February 2023.

Responsibilities:

  • Commissioned and edited a range of online articles covering arts, culture, work and wellbeing.

  • Managed content strategy and content calendar across site, social media and newsletters.

  • Developed the brand tone of voice across social, newsletter and members-only website.

  • Recruited and managed a team of freelance writers and managing budgets.

  • Liaised with photographers and graphic designers to illustrate content.

  • Managed event content development, including curating topics and securing speakers.
